Elizabeth Goodwin has always felt trapped by her family's expectations. As heir to the prestigious Goodwin Hotel Group, her life has been meticulously planned, but her heart belongs to music. When the pressure becomes too much, she flees to Belfast, reinventing herself as "Lizzie," a waitress and aspiring DJ.
In Belfast, Lizzie finds freedom in anonymity and purpose in her music. She secures a job at a restaurant where she meets Xander Murray, an bartender with walls as high as her own. Despite his reputation as someone who never lets anyone get close, a connection forms between them.
As Lizzie's music career begins to flourish, her constructed new life is threatened when her father suffers a heart attack, pulling her back to London and the world she left behind. There, she must confront the truth about who she is and what she really wants.
Complicating matters is her deepening relationship with Xander, who has his own secrets and a past that's taught him to keep everyone at a distance. When Lizzie receives an opportunity that could advance her music career but requires returning to London, both must decide if what they've found together is worth fighting for.
